Please forgive the lengthy absence, but Winter is after all the slow time of year for Walpole Town Meeting. Things will be picking up now, and you can look forward to frequent additions to this site.

This Friday, March 11, 2010, is the Friends of St. Patrick Luncheon. Please go to http://www.friendsofsaintpatrick.org/about.php and you cn also find this event on Facebook. This is traditionally one of the best days during the year for Walpole (along with the Night Before the 4th or the Walpole-Norwood football game, for instance.) Congratulations to the "Turco Girls" for being named citizens of the year.

But the St. Patty's Day luncheon is also the unofficial start to the Spring political season in Walpole. You are apt to see any number of nomination papers either at the luncheon being discreetly passed around for signatures or later on that day at one of the many social gatherings around town.
